Chiang Mai Atr and Culture Centre

Private Tours Chiang Mai to Arts and Culture Centre

The Chiang Mai City Arts and Culture Centre is site to introduces you to the beginning of Chiang Mai town, its record and evolving customs , an induction to the Royal families & infrastructure of Chiang Mai.

Place on Prapoklao Way, Chiang Mai city Arts and Cultural midpoint stands on the position of the previous royal hall. Created in 1924 with stylish architectural model, the building was first used as the central administrative offices of Monthon Phayap, later as the Provincial Hall of Chiang Mai until the town renovated it for the cultural cener in 1997. The restoration of the middle has earned the municipality the award from the Royal Society of Siamese Architects in 1999. Visitors is always more rewarding when you've an knowledge of the chronicle and traditions of your vacation spot. With some prior information, all those monuments and landmarks become much more applicable. But if you don't have the time or inclination to read up on the the past of Chiangmai & north of Thailand, the starting places you can visit here is the Chiang Mai city Arts and Culture Centre.
The first ground has several rooms focusing on the ancient record of the county and the progress of the town. The second ground focuses on the present overabundance of cultures that exist in the province & an inauguration to Buddhism. The museum opened fairly just (1999 is my guess) and serves as a visitor's center to the walled piece of the city. Signs are in Thai & English while audio presentations in each hall are in Thai, Mandarin, German, French, English.
The actual site of the Arts & Cultural Center is on the original "navel of the ctit town". On any map of the vintage ctit town, you might find it almost smack-dab-in-the-middle of the square. During the height of the Lanna Kingdom's last royal dynasty, the site was used for the royal hall. The Pagodas of the ctit town Navel was built here in the 13th century, & still stands on the south side of the construction. It was initially created in the Haripunchai (Lamphun) style but has been restored and renovated throughout the city's history. This historic site also housed the ancient Inthakhin city pillar before it was moved to nearby Chedi luang temple. The Three Kings Monument in front of the structure commemorates the three 13th century kings who chose the auspicious site for the "new ctit town" of Chiangmai.
The site was used for a royal hall from where the ruler administered Chiang Mai . When Inthawichayanon passed away it went into the possession of his daughter, Chao Dararatsmi, who granted the site to be used for a ‘government hall’ when the monthon was established. When the vintage building remained empty. At the end of 1997, the municipality requested permission to renovate the building in order to turn it into the Chiang Mai city Arts and Culture Centre. The renovation received an award in 1999 for preservation of a public construction from the Royal Society of Siamese Architects.
Opening Hours: Tuesday-Sunday (including public holidays) 8.30-17.00 hrs. Admission is 90 Thb
For only 90 baht we expected it to be minimum but were impressed with how nice it truly was. Everything was available in English as well & commonly translated well. Overall we thinking this was a great way to discover a bit about the county. If you would like more information for private tour or join in group tour program you can contact Chiang Mai Travel Agency in the city.

Tour to Tiger Kingdom Chiang Mai

The Tiger Kingdom just needed to get close

Tiger Kingdom is located in Mae Rim on the outlying district of Chiangmai in Thailand. It a new collection, well marketed and quickly becoming well known. Every accomodation and guest house in Chiangmai will give you a deal to get there.
Located in Mae Rim, around 15 kms. North of Chiang Mai’s Old City, Tiger Kingdom is an justly run tiger sanctuary that allows you to get up close and personal with these huge predators. The Tigers are attractive and amazing. Without doubt not on drugs - just napping during the day like all cats. We took amazing images and had a outstanding time. The employees were all extremely serviceable and genteel.

I love great animals - preferably tigers. I've never had a inning to be up close and individual with them...at Tiger Kingdom they make it feasible. There's much oppose if the tigers are dope since they're so naive when in get in touch with people. I do not know well, but would not require to be near a famished tiger that is 180 kg with paws the size of my head. To the side from that, the staff is very tender, they are knowledgeable about the tigers, and will help you get a couple photo too. I wasn't cowed play with the smaller ones. My heart started beating quickly after I was in the cages with the medium sized tigers, and yes I was decidedly alarmed when I was inside the cages with the largest ones.
However, Tiger Kingdom promote itself on the ethical breeding of these animal, as present by many notices and info panels around the site. The case they make is that tigers are typically night hunters; they get particularly naive in the hot Thai sunlight, sleeping as much as 18 hrs per day, and don’t jeopardize unless terrorize or famished.
Being so close to such an astonishing animal was a so implausible feel challenging and one that I will never forget. You can also earn some exquisite photos whilst there.
You'll find Large, Medium, Small and Smallest to select from and these can be purchased singly or as a package.

How to get there?
placed in the Maesa Valley a couple of Km. off the main Maerim road, driving time should be under 30 minutes from Chiang Mai. Private tours from Chiang Mai is a good choice.
